Being called a perfect cafe sandwich makes me so happy. It is exactly what I want short fiction to do -- tuck all the lose ends in and provide something satisfying and complete. I wrote the story that I needed after two years of living with Trump, with the drag and the invisible menace and the way you find yourself wrapping your community closer around you.
