I'm looking forward to that post! I've always been surprised by the separation of pencils and inks, tbh - colouring makes more sense to me to split off, but so much of a picture can rest on inking, in terms of mood and everything else? Thinking about this makes me want to see how the same artists pencils transform under different inks now, though.
(And the shiny, shiny muscle epidemic is an interesting one. I'm not a fan of it, but now I'm curious where it started. Jim Lee and Liefeld, maybe.)
