I like this a lot and it gave me many thoughts! I typed out a response but it got eaten (not DW's fault, my computer's) so I will just say: 1. I love the idea of "surprising and mundane" details (and I think you're super good at picking ones that are also very resonant), and 2. Actually if I saw someone describe their lover's eyes by exact Pantone chip I would be quite charmed. :P
